Special Events and Logistics

Basic Responsibilities

  • Assist staff in processing Delegate Package applications

  • Answer delegate inquiries over the phone and email

  • Help staff in facilitating all conference and special event's logistical details including supplies, food, transportation, and accommodation

  • Work with the Special Events Planning & Logistics Coordinator in leading groups of delegates during the Youth Assembly and extended programs

  • Proactively troubleshoot any emerging problems during both the planning and the actual days of the event

  • Assisting with other miscellaneous tasks as needed


  • 1-2 years’ relevant internship and/or work experience preferred

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Global perspective and strong cultural awareness

  • Ability to creatively solve problems

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent phone and email etiquette

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Multi-tasker

  • Reliable to lead large groups of people; Must be a "people person"

  • Self-motivated

  • Familiarity of New York City public transportation
